Terminology last, not first
The commonest way Science teaching fails is by leading with vocabulary. A child told that osmosis is “the movement of solvent molecules through a semi-permeable membrane” has learnt a sentence, not a phenomenon.
See it happen first
A demonstration, a video or something set up on the kitchen counter comes before any definition.
Then give it its name
The technical term is attached to something the child has already watched, so it arrives as a label rather than a riddle.
Still word-perfect for the exam
The definition is learnt exactly as the mark scheme wants it. It simply comes last.
